Well, so, where are we?
In this day and age, the development of Dreams of Ylina is going forward, there has been some periods in the last years when I wasn’t able to work on it, mainly due to new jobs and new borns!
I recently have made myself a list of tasks of the remaining things to do, using Airtable. I’m happy to see the list diminishing regularly, as I solve bugs and all, and sometimes growing again when I add some tweaks to do etc.
Currently, I’m correcting all the dialogs, and sometimes rewrite it, before recording them and including the audio. I’d like to keep a light « melancholic » atmosphere with both the dialods and the music.
I recently finished writing all the infos about quests, and a few other tasks remain, most of them are not complicated, just long, like writing all missing pieces of informations about items, in both french and english.
Oh, and last time I tried publishing an update directly on Steam, it was bugging, so I started this dev log.
Also, the demo has a well known bug, the Esc key freezes the game. It has been solved in the main game but I didn’t uploaded the correction to the demo, since the demo requires now some work to be updated (I’ve changed some houses interiors to allow wider spaces, to avoid camera problems, and I’ve changed the controller to have a smoother camera control when close to walls).
I’ve also added an explicit line of dialog to trade items with merchants, inspired by my replay of Oblivion.
